Extreme Office Chair Racing is a project that has been kick started with funding by Screen ACT and will continue, as the core people have time, until we end up with a finished game.

It is managed by Lea Bartlett ( me ) and the funding was used to pay for software licencing and wages of production staff for the first phase. Some of the staff casually employed, for the initial funded phase, were students of Academy of Interactive Entertainment. Others casually employed were games related industry professionals, willing to spend their time on something fun or offer their support and advice.

The purpose of obtaining the funding was to recreate a prototype game Neil Boyd and myself made in 2006 and start developing it towards a poilshed game. There is more information about the initial prototype and how it came about on the “The Game” page.

The current version of the game is available for free from the “Downloads” page and updates will be regularly posted as the game is polished and more features added.
